Almost all computer users encounter system error at one point or another when running an application, accessing installed device or when shutting down the computer. Normally, various reasons can cause this system error such as registry failure, viruses & spyware attacks or hard disk errors. Error code 39 always happens when the system fails to recognize the CD that is inserted into a CD-ROM drive wish the error message below showing:

“Windows cannot load the device drive for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

Step one: Fix error code 39 with Device Manager by outdating outdated drivers
Error code 39 can be caused by outdated drivers on the computer, so you should directly update the drivers when trying to solve this computer error. To update the driver, it is recommended that you can download and run a professional driver detector and update all needed drivers.

Step Two: Fix error code 39 by fixing registry errors.
Error code 39 will happen when the registry is corrupt, or when there are some missing files or unwanted files existing in Windows registry. So to get rid of this computer error, you should remove the unwanted files from the registry using registry editor. However, when making any changes to the registry, it is better that you should first back it up and be careful enough not to make any mistake. For safety of the computer, running a professional registry clean tool will be a best choice. However, if you are sure to modify Windows registry by yourself, simply perform the below steps:

* Close all running applications on the computer. Go to “Start” and run “Run”, type “Regedit” and press “Enter” to continue.
* Locate the below registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318 and delete all these files:
LowerFiters
LowerFiters.bak
Upperfilters
Upperfilters.bak
* After deleting all these files, restart computer to see whether the CD/DVD drive is visible in the computer or not.

Step three: Fix error code 39 by removing computer threats.
If the two steps above do not work, the problem can be caused by the spyware or viruses on your computer. Once some needed files was attacked or broken by threats, the system will fail to recall needed files to read your inserted CD/DVD drive and then cause the error code 39 drive not visible problem. At this time, you should run your antivirus antispyware program to check whether there are some infections existing. By the way, to make your antivirus programs running in the background helps to block and remove PC threats at any time.

In my opinion, computer errors will greatly reduce overall performance speed. The error code 39 will stop you from successfully running your CD/DVD drive successfully. Do remember to use preventive system maintenance tools such as antivirus, disk cleaner and registry cleaning tool to protect computer from kinds of errors from now on.
